Water Babies classes are all about bonding and becoming acclimated to the water through fun songs and activities. Exposing your child early, before they potentially develop fear, will give them the chance to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. However, every child is different and we encourage them each to progress at the pace that is developmentally appropriate for their individual needs.
Size: up to 5 children with Parent or Guardian and 1 Instructor

- develop motor patterns for kicking and moving arms
- supported front glide, back float, kick with flotation equipment
- hold breath and blow bubbles
- wet face and glide under water
- reach for parent, object and wall
- stand/balance independently on island (Toddler)
What is next?… Water Kids – Acclimation Level!
Class Preparation:
- Bring a bathing suit and towel for all participants.
- A swim diaper is required for any child who is not toilet trained.
- Long hair should be tied or fastened to stay out of their eyes.
- Allow time to change so your child is not rushed
We do not recommend private lessons for this age, as peer modeling is an important part of developing swimming skills. But if you have special needs, please call or e-mail to discuss. Register »
