Why I Chose LFSS: A Parent’s Perspective
Families select Little Fishes Swim School (LFSS) for a variety of reasons. Whether it’s our customized curriculum, unique environment, experienced staff, or proven results, it’s important to us that we understand how we can best serve each and every one of our little fish. That’s why we interviewed Yelena Podorozhansky, whose daughter, Abby, has been a student with us for two years. Here is their story.
Tell us about your swimmer’s skill progression since starting at LFSS.
My daughter, Abby, was not a fan of the water when she started at LFSS at two-years-old. Now, at four-years-old, she is swimming the entire length of the pool and back, and using different techniques to do it. She has developed strength and confidence while learning an amazing skill.
Have you seen any growth in your kiddo outside of swim skills?
Abby's first language is Russian, so when she first started at the age of two, she didn't understand English very well. As she has listened to and watched the coaches at LFSS over the last two years, her English has improved tremendously. She also developed muscle strength and stamina; she has since started hiking with us. Abby is proud of her achievements and has developed the confidence to tackle difficult tasks.
Why do you love LFSS?
Swimming is a very important life skill. It's a great way to develop strength and confidence surrounded by a friendly crowd. All of the coaches are very supportive and the pool temperature is perfect. It's really an ideal activity for kids.
How would you describe LFSS to a friend?
A warm, happy environment in which to learn the important skill of swimming. Great play area to entertain siblings during classes. Very clean and colorful. Staff is very friendly and encouraging.
If your kiddo had to describe LFSS in three words, which would they choose?
Abby says LFSS is fun, nice, and friendly.
We're so glad to hear families like Abby's enjoy their time at Little Fishes!
